A five-storey children’s ward complex worth Rs. 600 million will be built for the Maharagama Apeksha Hospital.

The Minister of Health and Mass Media says that the long-term delay in the construction of hospitals is causing a number of problems and that the delay in working with some government institutions in the country is extremely regrettable.

Laying the foundation stone for the proposed five-storey children’s ward complex to be constructed at the Maharagama Apeksha Hospital with the full financial support of Indra Kumara Silva, Chairman of the Indra Traders Group of Companies, The event was held at the hospital premises this morning (03) under the patronage of the Minister of Health and Mass Media, Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa.
