The inaugural ceremony was held at Kananwila and Heenatiyangala, Kalutara, under the patronage of the Minister of Health and Mass Media.

Under the second phase of the pilot project of the program to establish one thousand health and wellness centers islandwide, 42 centers will be opened to the public on the 24th in 21 districts islandwide.
These centers are being established under the innovative program "HEALTHY SRI LANKA" implemented under the advice and guidance of the Minister of Health and Mass Media, Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa.
