A group of experts including the heads of the Japanese Emergency Disaster Management Team met with the Secretary to the Ministry of Health and Mass Media, Specialist Dr. Anil Jasinghe, at the Ministry this morning (15).
The team remained in the country for almost two weeks, providing healthcare services to a large population in Chilaw and surrounding areas from a temporary special field hospital established at the Chilaw Headquarters Police Stadium.
