The Minister of Health and Indigenous Medicine takes steps to strengthen the work force of free health service by giving appointment to 1220

With a view of achieving “good governance and a new nation in 100 days” and providing a quality health service to the public the Minister of Health and Indigenous Medicine strengthened its work force by giving 1220 appointments.

In this instance, 74 special grade nursing officers (Hospital Services & Education), 30 graduate officers, 36 Trainee Pharmacists, 401 Trainee Midwifes, 43 Attendants, 626 Health Assistant Substitutes were given appointments. This a total of 1220. These appointments were given by the Minister of Health Hon. Dr. Rajitha Senarathne and State Minister of Health Mr. M.T. Hasan Ali on 9th February 2015 at BMICH.
